Joseph Stiller von Stillburg (1847-1923)

Joseph was born in Austria on August 24, 1847 to Joseph Stillburg Sr. and Marie Berchschnieder. After briefly serving in the Austrian Army during the Austro-Purssian War (1866), he immigrated to the United States in 1868 (according to the 1920 census). He became an architect in Pittsburgh and was well known, designing various buildings, many of which are still standing today. He was married to Amelia and had three sons Frederick, Albert, and Osker. Joseph died from liver cancer on December 23, 1923.
